West L.A. College campus, the training academy will cover an introduction to post-secondary education, academic guidance, an industry overview and career opportunities.

 

After completing the academy, participants will qualify to receive funding for academic items, like tuition, books and supplies for enrollment in post-secondary courses.

 

Participants must be age 18 or older and have a history with the justice system, such as previous incarceration and released within 180 days, on probation or parole, or residing in a residential re-entry center.

The Department of Labor Employment and Training Administration provided 100% of the $1.5 million in funding to operate the Reentry Employment Opportunities (REO) Program.
