PVJOBS offers Construction 101, a pre-apprenticeship training class that helps individuals prepare for a new career in the construction field.

Participants will learn the basics of the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) regulations and receive OSHA cards. Also, participants will gain knowledge of the local construction trade unions, take field trips to local union and construction sites, and receive work-readiness training. In addition, participants will conduct hands-on work, receive hazardous materials training, and learn about the use of construction math, measurements, tools and materials.

Construction 101 classes take place during a three-week period and require an attendance commitment from 9 am to 2 pm, Monday through Friday.
